A pretty good PA recording. There's a brief dropout at the beginning of Eight Miles High. The Roger McGuinn and Joan Baez sets sound just a tad fast, to my ear. The very end of the last set (Gotta Travel On) is clipped. Consulting Olof Bjorner's Chronicles suggests that at least parts are taken from other venues as Olof includes neither Maggie's Farm nor Shelter From The Storm in his set list for that date. I suspect this may simply be an error of omission. Although this tape was assembled from at least two (perhaps three) recordings, I believe that they are all taken from a common source. Bjorner also lists I'll Be Your Baby Tonight and Isis, which are absent here, as being performed at this venue. I Love That Music by Mark Rosen; Flint Hill Special by David Mansfield; Werewolves Of London by T-Bone J. Henry Burnett; Rolling Across The USA, Dear Abby, and Asshole From El Paso by Kinky Friedman; Eight Miles High, Cardiff Rose, Lover Of The Bayou, and Chestnut Mare by Roger McGuinn; Do Right Woman Do Right Man, Ain't Gonna Let Nobody Turn Me Around, Love Is A Pain In The Ass, The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down, Softer And Sweeter To Me, and Diamonds And Rust by Joan Baez. Dubbed 08/17/97. 1 x 90 min. & 1 x 60 min.
