A pretty good, but incomplete, mono audience recording, compromised by a few clipped sets and the occasional rough edit between sets. The beginning of the introduction (My Back Pages) is clipped. The last second or two of I Don't Believe You, It Ain't Me Babe, and To Ramona are clipped. The last set (Changing Of The Guards) is missing. Of the tape, the trader writes: "I feel I should give you a bit of background on the Birmingham tape. My sister and her husband were present at this show so I had searched for it for over a year before obtaining a copy from a very well known Dylan collector and "Chronicler" in Europe. The original tape I recieved had LARS ending about halfway through at the end of side A of tape one and, after a rewind of about a verse, being completed at the begining of side B. I dubbed a new copy of the tape and edited the two parts together at the beginning of side B. The edit comes immediatly after Dylan sings "....tricks for you", to my ear as well as all others I have played the tape for, it is unnoticable, (Although I must say, I have not listened with headphones to test it), and seems unedited." I have repeatedly listened to both lines that include the phrase and am unable to detect the edit. Nice job, Bill! Dubbed by BH 02/??/98 1 x 90 and 1 x 60 min.
